Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist III for Outpatient
Surgery.
Key Responsibilities
Code outpatient accounts using ICD-10 CM and CPT in compliance with
coding guidelines
Abstract required data elements and review accounts in denial work
queues
Maintain quality and productivity standards while mentoring and
training on coding service lines
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of acute hospital-based coding experience or equivalent
combination of education and experience
Relevant coding certifications (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, COC, CPC,
CPC-H, CIRCC)
Expert knowledge of coding guidelines and practices
Experience in a remote work environment preferred for PRN
