Position: Contract Coordinator
This position will assist in the development and management of the
contracting process workflow, and other duties as needed by the
Contracting Department. The Contract Coordinator will need to be
able to multi-task, be articulate and detail-oriented, with
excellent reading comprehension and analysis to assist the Director
of Contracting and Contract Specialist. The Contract Coordinator
will need to utilize active communication, active listening, and
customer service skills to correspond and resolve inquiries from
internal and external business affiliates. The Contract Coordinator
will support the department in completion of tasks, data entry,
organization, and project management within designated
timelines.
Some Major Duties Include:
Negotiate LOA and MOU for the IPA's managed by IMS.
Negotiate provider agreements and amendments to include physicians
and ancillary providers as needed.
Assist Contracting Specialist and Director in developing, creating,
and tracking contracts and agreements for the company, clients, and
other business organizations and affiliates.
Monitoring of emails and faxes on a daily basis.
Correspond to internal and external stakeholders resolving and
troubleshooting any questions and inquiries pertaining to
contracts.
Collaboratively work with other internal departments during the
contracting process to ensure department goals and requirements are
met.
Generate, submit, scan, upload and track all LOA, MOU, PCP,
Specialist and Ancillary contracts including amendments into system
and/or databases.
Ensure any assigned duties and projects are prioritized according
to deadlines.
Internal network liaison for Claims, Provider Services, Utilization
Management, and other company departments as needed.
Oversight of database maintenance and accuracy through use of
audits.
Maintain and adhere to healthcare compliance and other government
regulations.
May need to perform on-site visits (as required) to physicians,
physician groups, and ancillary providers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred, and/or equivalent experience in
healthcare administration, management service organization, health
plan, and/or IPA.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year in healthcare, health administration, managed
service organizations, health plans, and/or IPAs preferred.
Exposure to development and management of contracts.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Other Attributes
Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task in a fast-paced,
changing environment.
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Excellent comprehension and reading skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Detail orientated, highly efficient and flexible in assuming
new/additional responsibilities, as well as the desire to learn new
skills.
Proficient in articulation and in the English language, including
the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and
grammar.
Clerical Administration - knowledge of administrative and clerical
procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and
records, designing forms, and other office procedures, management,
and terminology.
Critical thinking, analytical, and deductive skills with the
ability to problem-solve and conduct root cause analysis.
Familiar with data manipulation, spreadsheet analysis, pivot
tables, graphs, and basic summary reports.?
Familiar with claims, compliance, credentialing processing, and
other healthcare administration processes preferred.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and computer software
systems/databases.
Be able to travel to our office location in City of Industry
office.
