This Program Manager is a member of a global team developing products for the industrial automation market and is responsible for ensuring programs meet and exceed business goals.



The incumbent will work in a global organization and manage one or more programs. Programs are comprised of projects and/or vertical markets as assigned by the Senior Management team. The incumbent will work across the organization to create success of these projects or markets.



By ensuring success of these Programs, the incumbent will contribute to the accelerated global growth of companies Wireless Business and be a key team member in deciding the company?s future direction and investments. Gaining and maintaining market and technology expertise are essential roles on this team.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities


? Provide program management for internal and external (third party) product developments requiring planning, resourcing, scheduling, project cost forecasting/monitoring, reporting and providing technical coordination & guidance across multiple functional areas.


? Provide in-depth and advanced knowledge in the project management discipline.


? Provide definition and clear communication of program priorities, expectations, issues & risk resolutions in a cross-functional project team within the immediate business as well as across the company on a global basis.


? Analyze vertical markets in depth and provide detailed requirements for existing and future products including functional requirements, channel requirements, acquisition targets, and price / forecast analysis.


? Directs and coordinates all aspects of product/market development initiatives


? Works with other departments to establish a design, technology, product development, and vendor strategy


? Lead and directs the work of others, sets deadlines, and assigns responsibility


? Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues


? Other duties as assigned by Senior Management

? Able to engage diplomatically with excellent verbal and written communication, as well as platform presentation skills with a variety of audiences across all levels of the organization and externally.


? Exhibits a strong ability to handle complexity, multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.



Education / Experience


? Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.


? 8+ years? experience in automation product development, including leadership roles in any discipline ? Engineering, Product Management, or Business Development.
