Satellite Division, seeks -Flight Software Engineers (Experienced
or Senior) in El Segundo, CA. The ideal engineer should be
-passionate about space -and excited to work in a

develop and implement control and communications software for a new

information, -.Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full life-cycle development, including
requirements analysis, software architecture, designs, coding, unit
test, integration, and formal qualification.
- Experience in analyzing system requirements and decomposing
them to software requirements. -
- Able to take requirements and define a software system
architecture.
- Candidate should possess excellent communications skills to
participate in requirements, design, and code reviews, thoroughly
understand version control and software quality attributes, such as
testability, portability, and maintainability, and enjoy a
self-driven and collaborative development approach.
- Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and
works well in a team environment.
- Must be able to interact well with System Engineers/Analysts as
well other members of the Integrated Product Team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience
presenting at program major reviews and leading the technical
contents of all technical software documents.
- Familiarity with the formal development process and current
software engineering topics is highly desired.This position is
expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be
required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (El
Segundo, CA)This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security
Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance
that has been active in the past 24 months is considered
active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- 5+ years of direct experience designing and developing software
for a real time or non-real-time system
- 3+ years of experience using object-oriented design/C++
- 1+ year developing on an embedded real-time systemPreferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
- Experience with agile development process using Jira or other
tools to manage workflow.
- Experience with requirement analysis tools like DOORS
- Knowledge of design tools and process. Use of UML like design
and/or Rhapsody models
- Knowledge unit test tools like Vector Cast and Coverity static
analysis tool
- Use of Jenkins integration/test toolTypical
Education/Experience:Experienced (Level 3)Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'
related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior
(Level 4)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation
