Job Description:
Overview:This position requires the full understanding and
active participation in fulfilling the mission of Whittier Medical
Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior
consistent with the core values of AHMC. The employee will also be
expected to support all organizational expectations including, but
not limited to; Customer Service, Patients Rights, Confidentiality
of Information, Environment of Care and AHMC-WHMC initiatives.
Responsibilities:This position will answer phones in a professional
manner for the hospital. Will be responsible for accurately
transferring incoming calls, making overhead announcements,
assisting with computer work and admitting processes. Will also be
cross-trained to assist as a mailroom clerk. Qualifications:Prior
experience working as a switchboard operator highly preferred. Must
be able to speak clearly. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
