Position Summary:Under the supervision of the Thrift Store Manager, the Senior Floor Lead is responsible for the inspection, pricing, and overall rate of production of goods by the crew.CORE WORK PRINCIPLE:Colossians 3:23 is the foundation of URM's standard for employment, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people. The goal for each employee is to enrich and sustain a humble heart attitude; to enrich and sustain a mindset of serving others, treating them with kindness and truth; and to enrich and sustain a zealous desire for achieving work objectives without any ulterior motives or agendas.Essential Functions:Warehouse: -Must be able to palletize pallets. -Load and unload merchandise from trucks such as furniture, pallets, boxes, etc. -Operate a Forklift (Certification needed.) -Operate a Pallet Jack- must be able to move pallets that are 500 pounds or over.Social Media: -Basic understanding of how to utilize social media. -Understand the basics of social media platforms, posting capabilities, social management services (communication with customers/volunteers),and graphic design.

  • Inspect and price goods according to price brackets.
  • Assist store management with overseeing production crew.
  • Open and close production area, as needed.
  • Open and close the building.
  • Check the sales floor daily for lean and full areas.
  • Assist sorters, production staff, and floor associates, as needed.
  • Record production numbers daily (carts, units, etc.)
  • Assist management with general store operations such as merchandising, inventory control, and staff training.
  • Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed. May be required to work at a nearby location.
  • Assist in supervising 5-7 staff; and not limited to 3-7 volunteers.
  • Communicate with management regularly about store issues.
  • Actively engage customers on the sales floor to increase donations and merchandise sales; and to ensure monthly revenue goals are met.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers and donors; and responding to customer inquiries/complaints in a timely manner.
  • Assist with promoting repeat business and word-of-mouth advertising by building excellent customer relations.
  • Ensure employees, CLDP, and volunteers are trained in store operations and procedures.
  • Coaches and trains employees on de-escalation practices on public encounters and proper procedures on loss prevention situations.
  • Trains, evaluates, and coaches employees/volunteers to identify and process collectibles, luxury brands and other high-end merchandise.
  • Ensures the store and displays are maintained, clean, and attractive: -Develop commercial displays, including window displays designed to encourage people walking by to enter the store. -Rotate displays to promote new products or attempt to sell products that are overstocked and need to be moved. -Maintain displays daily by cleaning them so that they always look their best. Inspect mannequins frequently to ensure that there are no flaws on the bodies. -Assemble displays by hand by taking a piece of furniture out of the box and putting it together yourself; making sure to follow all instructions. -Photograph displays in ways that are acceptable to publish on social media sites and local newspapers when a column is written about the store.
    • Enforce and maintain Health and Security policies and procedures, including safety and cleanliness.
    • Carry out other projects as assigned by the Store Manager.

      • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
      • Requires manual dexterity for regular repetitive finger motion, frequently reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting objects and operating equipment.
      • Requires manual ability to operate a pallet jack.

          • High school diploma or equivalent
          • Minimum 1 year Thrift Store operation experience, Pricer or retail experience, preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
            • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
            • Fluency in Spanish, oral and in writing, a plus.
            • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
            • Knowledge of POS System.
            • Must have a strong work ethic and be able to work at a fast pace.
            • Must be detail oriented, have strong customer service, and organizational skills.
            • Must have strong time management skills and ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
            • Ability to use technology and tracking applications to complete tasks daily.PI179818796
