ICU/Critical Care RN in San Pedro, California, 90732! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience:
Minimum 2 years in ICU, with charge experience required License:
Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS,
NIHSS Must-Have: Charge experience is required. Candidate must have
experience beyond MICU and additional experience in other
specialized ICUs is preferred, such as Surgical, Trauma, Shock, or
Neuro ICU. Candidate must be willing to float between like units.
Candidate must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving,
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Description: The ICU RN will provide critical care to patients with
severe and life-threatening conditions. The nurse will manage
patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure. Key
responsibilities include the interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and care of ventilated
patients. Experience with arterial line management, central line
care, blood product administration, and IV initiation is required.
The nurse will assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion
and management, as well as participate in continuous IV sedation
and procedural sedation monitoring. Additional skills include the
management of vasoactive drips, interpretation of arterial blood
gases, and infection prevention measures. The ICU RN will work
collaboratively with an interdisciplinary support team, providing
high-quality care to a diverse patient population. The position
requires a flexible and adaptable approach, including the ability
to float to different units and facilities as needed. 5 Benefits of
