Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute nursing experience, with
utilization review in a hospital setting License: Valid nursing
license required Certifications: Experience with InterQual
criteria, Prior Authorization, Retrospective Review Must-Have:
Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic Ability to
assess medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines Proficiency
in concurrent reviews and continued stay reviews Familiarity with
CMS regulations and Medicare processes Experience with care
coordination and disease management Knowledge of CPT coding and
billing Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and Joint Commission
standards Description: This is a remote utilization review
position. The focus will be on a variety of service lines and
levels of care, including inpatient and outpatient settings.
Candidates are required to rotate every third weekend throughout
the contract duration. Flexibility is important, as the team
supports multiple facilities. Strict adherence to labor laws
regarding breaks and lunches is expected. Candidates must be
willing to float between facilities as needed. A minimum of two
supervisory references from previous positions is required. The
position may involve communication requirements, and the client
will provide necessary devices at no charge. All candidates are
expected to complete modules prior to starting and on an annual
