Software Engineering Manager for the Electrostatically Supported
Gyro Navigator Replacement program located in Huntington Beach, CA.
The software engineering manager is to lead approximately 20
software and guidance navigation controls engineers. Software
Manager will also be managing software engineers from the GEDMS
program as it continues to its decades long effort supporting their
delivered products. Additional duties will include leading the
ESGN-R SW IPT including cost accounting manager and being the
interface to our Navy and Lockheed Martin customers. At Boeing, our

of technical opportunities. You will own the technology roadmap

- Manages, develops and motivates employees performing activities
within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements
policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides
technical management of suppliers and leads process
improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with
customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches,
products and processes.This position allows telecommuting. The
selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in
Huntington Beach, CA.Security Clearance and Export Control
Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a
Top-Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government
requires US Citizenship.-- Ability This position requires the
ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S. Citizenship.-- An interim and/or final
U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study
in engineering, electrical/electronics, aerospace, computer
science, mathematics, or physics
- 10+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional or
cross-organizational teams within engineering.
- 5+ years of experience working with software development
lifecycles.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in software development lifecycle
- Experience with communication and interaction with other Boeing
organizations, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure
effective integration and execution of a plan
- Experience as Control Account ManagerEducation/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related
work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the
USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standardRelocation: This position offers relocation
based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be
